Hey John,
The 60" races were a huge hit last year and we wanted to do it again.
Currently there are 2 60" MOM races planned for 2011. If the interest is there again, we will need to plan for more.

Saturday, Feb 12th at Brown Bluff
Saturday, April 30th at Bills Hill

http://www.socalsloperacing.com/2011.htm

I really hope you guys will come out for the Parker F3F. While not MOM, it is unlimited so you can race anything. Hope to see you there.

This is a PARKER report for Saturday, the 15th of Jan. John called me Friday night and said he and Bruce and a couple guys were at Parker and it howled Friday !! I believe his BIG JW went 212 mph which would be a Parker record for JW? And Bruce got D100 close to 300! John folded a JW and Mike folded a JW? So yesterday ( sat.) I headed out to Parker as I wanted to maiden my 40 oz. SLAYER and my 70 oz. MAKO 60 that I have been waiting for the right time to do eeeet!!! Sunny and warm and right direction but only 30 to 30+ around 1100am to a little lighter by 300 pm. First my Slayer flew great with a couple clicks and I ended up in a five plane furball with the crew that was there!! Then the Mako 60 with a few clicks to trim and I flew it for a good 20 minutes before handing off the controls to Jason Lilly. I wanted his input as to what he thought about the Mako as it has a more narrow chord than his JWs. I think he got it going to 140s and I think I had it going about 125? John was on the gun off and on but Im not 100 % sure those speeds are correct! BUT, after not flying for almost seven weeks I was happy just to be out with friends and fly on a nice day at Parker. John, Bruce, and I left at about 330 or four and Tim, Jason, and Gary Legerton, along with a local guy Alan? and his wife stayed till ? Too many plane types to mention, but they all went fast and we all had a good time jimi

As far as road repairs from the old 2010 thread, I'm in for "Pick & Hoe" haha I got a couple hoes and everything else! Sounds more logical since its only 3 spots or so that need it.

No, I spoke to Bruce on the phone and the one he flew was a heavy built JW, Built by John Peters.

Chris, when are you gonna get your 72 inch JW finished? The way you fly, over two fifty should be a piece of cake! I think the JW in question (212) is the John Peters build that will allow for ballast up to a hundred and fifty ounces!! That day I think he had around 120? Ounces in it!

Juts wanted to let everyone to know that it has not gone 212 But the new Hefty Dub only went 209 mph in around fifty mph wind . the AUW was 130 oz . I am making some changes to the servo arms and horns along with new control rod covers.Might be hill record for a JDUB

Sorry John, only 209!! I tried to remember what you had told me but I got all the numbers screwed up!! LOL Once again, sorry dude! And thank you for helping me Saturday with the maidens of the Slayer and the Mako60! I think everyone was impressed with the way you ran the bottom with no seam and the top forming a wiper by overlapping the top covering!!! You are coming up with some ideas I think will become common practice in the future! Good Job. Jimmi
