Unreal! He sure as hell did not get many miles out of those tires, and the guy on the Segway didn't have a chance!

..after watching that vid again..I can't help wonder about the trans..I can see 3 pedals on the floor, but he's up-shifting with the paddle on r/side of the steering column.Does he use the clutch also.?

Don't the newer 'vettes have the same setup.? I guess it can be discribed as an electric controlled manual trans, right.?

I'm trying to imagine the servos and all.

Clutch only when leaving in first gear. The aluminum handle to the right is the E or rear brake.

The technique of sliding the car with the rear brake while the engine as at full RPM on the rev limiter allows full power out of the turn as he eases off the throttle and off the rev limiter. It's like the reverse of normal gas/clutch/braking.

Sheesh... All that just to get that last close parking space at the local mall.

That was pretty cool!

clutch on take off..I understand.I see & hear how Ken keeps the engine at high RPMs for almost the entire course.

It makes perfect sense coming out of the turns to have the engine at peak power.I like the paddleshift idea on racecars..& Corvettes,a great idea.

I have the paddle shifters in my Z4. It really works well once you get used to it. I can't ping my rev limiter like that though unless I start changing chips, etc. I don't need to by driving like that anway, I'm no longer that coordinated

Are the Vette paddles controlling a 5-speed trans.?I keep reminding myself to get a Vette before I get much older.

...this Ken Block guy has the coolest toys I've ever seen.Take a look at his snowmobile...well sorta/kinda a snowmobile.
