deleted

UPDATE: Project plans have changed. It is better to go with a 6 FET ebike controller.

merzie,

Thanks for the link. I never even thought of Ebay. That site is still in business? lol

Does anyone know where I can find what the differences are between the CC esc's? I don't even know if I even need an HV. I see there are now 200Amp CC esc"s but there not HV? I don't know the diff.

If you are not running anything higher than 8s then regular ICE will suffice. HV is needed when you need to run greater than 8S (12S max).

But ICE Lite (without heatsink) are 6s only.

Thanks man. That was a concise explanation. Just what I needed. I run 12s5000 in my 89" slick. That must be why I bought a 160hv. but for 7X" planes they all require less. So more like 6S5000. A regular ICE or ICE lite will suffice.

I am planning to use my future ice hv 160 for an unconventional ebike application at 7s at the beginning, but maybe 10s in the future. (w/ 3.3v 26650s for now). The amperage pull shouldn't get past 100 in most cases, but I figured since these are made for air cooling I'd better get a higher rating just to be safe. Does this make sense?
