Please note:
Learning to fly on a small mini bird (example: 7" Syma S107, 3ch) before launching into a large helicopter like the 9101 or 9053 is recommended.
Why? The mini sized, can easily get you acclimated on how a 3 channel responds in the least amount of flying space (like a living room), unlike the large 9101/9053 that requires a large area (double garage) to practice.
(1.) Neither large or small, 3ch co-axial heli's will do good in (outside) wind.
(2.) Charging times: mini copter recycles faster, so your back flying sooner.
(3.) Those mini's (like a S107 size), can take a licking and keep on ticking.
Some say to start with a 4 channel, but (generally) they cost twice as much (all things considered), and who knows, this may not be your cup of tea? Personally, I started on the 3ch S107 and glad I did, as I was constantly flying into things, with no repair costs.
Fancy/expensive battery charger? Hold off at first. The Double Horse kits come with a inexpensive charger\balancer that should be fine to get your going. Although stock kit chargers are slow, these type of batteries are best charged, Low 'n Slow.
Added Note:
(a) Spare battery (OEM 1300\1500mAh = 67x37x18mm @95g w/JST plug).
(b) Training kit w/blue balls, legs are twice as thick as the cheaper yellow ball version. Blue version: 13" legs, weight 31g -vs.- Yellow version: 10" legs, weight 21g.
(c) Spare blades (just in case).
