Is there a cheaper alternative to GoPro Camera?

Hi guys,

I'm in the market to look for a camera like a gopro setup. I need a camera with a headstrap, to video tape, my flights. Is there a cheaper alternative than a gopro? pics or video of your setup would be much appreciatted.

There seem to be alot of small cheap "keychain" cameras around with ok quality. Probably not as good as the GoPro, but definitely smaller.

Some of them seem to be pretty decent quality on YouTube.

Yeah I got 2 of them atm, they are nice and small, but the quality, well it's reasonable. I was hoping for something like these but better quality??

Check out this thread: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1362692

There are some newer key chain cameras that do HD (720p); the video quality seems to be quite a bit better than with earlier generation cams. I just ordered one of these to put one on my 450.

What makes the go pro good, believe it or not, is not the sensor. But rather it's the optics. There were some brave souls who tried to replace its lens over in the FPV forum in attempt to get wider coverage, only to fine mediocre result without the stock lens.

You get what you pay for.
