Yea, I should have ordered parts to build 20, but I'm a conservative and don't know how long interest will be around or how long we will still be able to purchase power supplies.

The next product I'm working on building is an aluminum wheel ski. They are very nice because they are 6061t6 cut on a cnc laser, then assembled using aircraft rivets.

I think they will sell well too as lots of people don't know if the field is going to be grass or snow in much of the country this time of year.

I have ideas for other RC products that nobody currently sells, just need to make sure I don't bury myself in work.

I will subscribe to the thread but I am interested in the full kit if you do make another set.

3 have already sold, so there are 7 left. Place your order now for delivery for late next week.

If there continues to be more demand I will put together 10 more.

Thanks,

I have FeatherMerchant's 42A supplies, will your full kit work for that? or just the 47A version?

Everybody that ordered from the US should have their kits now. Let me know if you have any questions.

Yeah, I did both sets in under 20 minutes. I did cheat though - I prepped the power supplies just after I ordered the second set .

I did drift from the instructions a bit on these - instead of using the nylon nut & washer, I dremeled the copper runs off both sides of the circuit board. I was still reading a short on the neg to chassis on the first one I was doing when using just the nylon parts - I thought there was some solder down in the mounting hole causing the short and got carried away when I picked up the dremel to get rid of the suspect solder burr. Seemed like a good idea after I was done so did the other as well.....

Now I need to sell my unused IBM 235 PS's I have laying around.

Cheers,
Steve

Would be great to see another run of these, I think as more people see this, you'll see more and more potential customers. I think this makes one of the most end user friendly high output power supplies available for hobby use at anywhere near this price. Iota and Meanwell certainly have good products, but I don't think they're quite as end user friendly.

I think the only commercially available supply in this power range I've seen that's really set up nicely for use by an end user is the new ProTek 1000W supply.

Hi schu,

Did you put 2 on each fan, or one on each?

You need 1/2 watt and 50 ohms. I only had 1/4 watt resistors on hand so I used two on each in parallel. You could use a single 1/2 watt 50 as well.
