Sub Mini - Super 60 scaled down to 32in span
This will be my first balsa build for... er... 32 years. It's an old David Boddington plan that was uploaded to the Vintage & Old-Timer Plans thread at: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...265873&page=60 Looks like it was originally published in January 1965 in RCM&E.
The original was petrol powered with (I think) just single channel control on the rudder. I'll be doing electric power and 3 channels. I've already had to butcher the plan to add elevator control. There will be little integrity here. I may be some time... |

Hi r,
Sorry, my apologies, I missed answering this, somehow. Ah, no, the Sub Mini still sits in much the same state, sadly. I got a little sidetracked with everything else. The nearest example I have to answer your question is the Frog Redwing at 27in, the build thread with pics and details of the powertrain is here: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1497261 Steve |
