Are you going to Art Dye? I have never been there. May have to catch up with you another time. I bought some kind of switch from HK but not sure how to use it. Are you going to sod farm sat? If so maby can get with you then.

The sod farm is too wet this time of the year so everyone is at Art Dye even on Saturdays.

Hey does anyone have an electric pump they could bring tonight? I need the kind that you air up an inflatable mattress with?

Hey Burhead- still flies like it's tail heavy. I'll be bringing the SW tomorrow. I may end up with a front mounted motor after all Possibly this airfoil does not like the forward sweep on the TE... I hope I can still make a good flier out of it

Nope, no camera crew. At least not that we saw. We were all so busy flying.

We had a fantastic turn-out tonight. Probably 15+ night planes. Lots of great flying. I flew out about 12 packs myself, stayed for a couple of hours. Good times had all around. Quite a few spectators too, as much as we've ever had during our summer night-fly events.

I was the first one there, got one flight in while waiting for someone else to show up, and the first person to show up was a cop. Said they'd been getting calls about strange lights above Art Dye park, and he was on assignment to check it out. He hung out and visited for a while then took off.

We need to do that more often!

Oh Yeah! Jake and I both flew a few packs out.
I was cold! But what a GREAT time!
  • Adrain's might-as-well-be-jet-powered Extreme Wing
  • Ryan's tricopter hauling up and dropping the balloon
  • Ryan's wild as any night plane I've ever seen Slo Stick
  • A good tree hit and a handicap sign hit
  • LOTS of good combat hits
Great night!

I found out why the "HIT" didn't work on the "IT" plane and why the lights were so dim. I was running separate batteries for lights and power and the lights battery was almost dead. Not enough power for white lights.

I'm going to be making some changes before St.George. "IT" in white. Balloon lights, lots more and white.

That was a lot of fun. Lets do it again when it gets warmer so we can worry about mosquito bites instead of frost bite.
