Hi guy's

This is a wonderful thread, been checking it out for a long time, so many how to's to make this a great model, I now want to purchase one but it has to fit in the car, what is the O/A length, I am unable to find it

I just measured mine roughly and it is a bit over 1.7m long, but it was a quick measure

Will try a reverse taxi on to the runway, if it's capable of that then its capable of slowing down the plane....right?

Yes, I'd seen this before, too. The clam shell reversers work very effectively...I've seen it back away "from the gate" on another video. Very cool!

I can tell you all the spoilers I have on mine help to bleed off speed quickly once it is "planted" onto the ground. I have deployed spoilers on landing a few times and it cuts the roll out distance measurably.

The thing about spoilers, reverse thrust, lights, etc., and all our other fun modifications are that unless the mod is used for normal flying (say flaps) as opposed to a specialty use (spoilers), you are carrying extra weight for "show factor" and it is of limited use. To me, though fun, creative , etc., the only useful mod (thus far) for flying at this point is flaps. That said, keep the mods coming- it's what sets us apart and makes this fun!

As for flaps, look the attached takeoff video and I am off the ground in half the stock distance, (and carry lower ref speed on final.)

Yes, I think that is a good idea. Please consider making provisions in the molds for:

Optional retracts and flaps. Similar to the provisions provided by Dynam for their Grand Cruiser (Cessna 310) and their TurboJet (Cessna 550)

Plane too small not able to add retract and flaps, price is around US$200 plus US$35 shipping.
Don't worry, we will keep going on large airliner like 747 or Concord in the future.
