You'll be fine with 3mm stainless steel on a smooth runway. My gears don't bend anymore.

Subsequently I will consider replacing the 3 mm with 4mm steel, but that will have to wait. I'll just see how it handles now

Ben_E,

Remind me your all up weight (AUW) again on your 737? I seem to recall your plane is a bit heavy (I am not calling your plane fat by the way!). Are you using one or two LiPos for your power source?

4,3kg Iīm using 2x4cell 4000mAh packs in parallel, so the motors "sees" both packs.

I would strongly recommend that you guys donīt end up in this weight range. In preparation for this weekends flying I could quite evidently see that the wings needs to be strengthen at the point of the motor pods. I donīt think they will fold, but if they do thatīs where it will happen. The wings have signs of slight weakening at this point. Some strong carbon will be added tonight. If anything goes wrong, I have another kit, and that one will definitely end up lighter!

I will also try to fly the bird much slower, and avoid high G turns. I had a couple of them in the maiden flight.

I placed earlier this week an order with Calli for KLM decals. She is great to work with and the turnaround is amazing.
