What rx voltage are you using? I think these hyperions only like up to 5.5v. Spec says max input 5.5v.

Sanyo 4 cell 4.8 volt 600mah Nicd .... keep in mind that I'm not gonna be using this in the plane ... I just use it for bench work.

GMD is the really fast, low torque one isnt it? That might explain why it's failing first with a battery pack that is losing voltage.

I'll also had digitals do funny things with low voltage packs when testing on the bench.

Think I got it fixed now ... I susoect that it was the voltage issue. BTW, is it common for these servos to "whine" continuously at rest?

Every hyperion (got about 12) i have whines :-D

They do it at 5 or 5.5v, even without any load on them.

I think it's really normal. Gets me ALOT of strange looks out in the field when all the old dudes are used to analog servos which only whine when there is a problem.

Swist - Empty weight

Hi there -

Can anyone tell me the empty weight of the Swist.... with no gear in it? The current 1 piece wing version (with the slightly smaller fuse, as Bob mentioned)

Iím on the waiting list for the next shipment. Iíve got a slightly different use for the model than it was originally designed Ė and weight is one of the driving factors.

Thanks in advance!

Funny about servos all acting up now days. Hard to get a good picture of which servos to use and where.

Which servos does the F5D guys use for competition?
