Voodoo - I weighed my Scorpion with a calibrated digital scale. I have the 1900kv version. IIRC you have the 1600kv ? That could explain the weight difference.
Yello - the 3226 may be too heavy for the Swist at 240g.

Think its to shift the turblent air which is coming off the side of the alieron,out to the tip where theres mre disturbided air.It makes the wing more effective-but i can't speak frm experience yet...
Yip they all come with them...i will glue mine in place

Margrinsi: most people say it is to reduce drag from the end of the aileron by tapering the aileron chord shorter rather than a blunt end. Some say it is because the wing flexes so it helps prevent the hi geline from binding. it can be glued or taped to the wing if you don't want to use it. If your do want to use it most people tape it to the aileron. Us mere mortals will never notice the drag difference either way.

So i can talk from own experience and yes,bell touches stator on high g-forces even in my 2/3 which has much less corner-performance than a F5d airframe.

This does not inevitably destroy motor or controller, but its ugly.

@ Warmachine

The Hk 3026 1900 is a 6 pole Motor, the Hk3026 1400 is 10 pole this may be an explenation for the different weight.
Maybe this also changes the touching issue cause bell is lighter?
If possible i would mount the motor behind the motormount in the fuse,cause if you push shaft through the bell and mount it reversed,you would add prop and spinner to the bellweight which stresses bearings and shaft even more.

I agree, the 3226 may be too heavy,maybe scorpion launches a 3220 soon ?
An alternative option would be to order a 3226 kit and shorten it to 3218 or 3220.

@DUP
I missed you by 5% in distance and 4 in direction will you ever forgive me?

I which you nice x-mas days,

Yello
