I just got back from the NEAT Fair and I would really like to figure out a power plant to do this. The bigger planes were wonderful to watch. I have two kits, One to build and one for templates and would love to get this moving forward.

This (http://www.hobbypartz.com/mo1602brmo.html) motor has caught my eye but I will consult with my local giant scale electric guru

I'd love to see the Ultra Sport 1000 come back. I built the US60 about 12 years ago. Built a US40 about a year ago. I still have them both and they're awesome planes. I love how sturdy they are. They do not feel as delicate as some of my other planes. Still, it's a dated design. Most people aren't interested in building at all any more. They want ARFs. Building an Ultra Sport is a little more labor intensive than most other kids. I love to build, but it seems that I'm in a small minority these days. If a US1000 came out, I'd buy it. I don't know how many other people would though. It's probably not beneficial for them to bring the kit back.

Here's an alternative to the US 1000 some might want to consider.

A twin electric conversion of something like the US 1000 or the Big Dirty Birdy is on my build list.
