Flying Sunday May 26th?

Long range planning for next weekend - assuming good weather, does next Sunday work for people flying out in Abby?

Yup, sounds good. We might even have some new contest toys (time clock and sound) to play mock tasks ...

I recommend sticking with your older planes. Fly what you know. No need to try the CX-5...

Scoring system upgraded -

be prepared for some fun training session coming up - I have some pretty bad ass ideas.

You all need to get your ballast solutions in order - I will be instigating a ballasted only training day soonish...so be prepared to get your model up to 280 grams minimal and be preapred for bonus ballast days.. yes a scored training session with a 10 point bonus for every once of ballast...

It gets better, not wanting to add to the fossil fuel conundrum I added a solar panel at 100 watts and 2 x 6 volt golf cart cells which based on the math are supposed to last roughly 48 hours to 50 % capacity without the panel. With the panel I am putting 5 watts per hour back into the system which is drawing about 10 watts max so I show up with fully charged batteries and this thing , we should be good for as long as we could ever need it...

Nice work Dave! The more we can get your attention distracted from actual flying the better.

Hope we can fly locally on Sunday. I feel old.
