Sold out fast

I received an e-mail from HK that these were back in stock while I was out to dinner. I immediately logged on and they were on back order again. This must be the hottest product since the iphone.

Did you receive a mail, that the gyros were actually in stock or just a mail, that HK received another batch? In this case, the gyro was never actually in stock. If HK customers ordered 2000 and HK received 1000, it was alway on BK. I guess that's the case, since the gyros, I ordered a few days ago are still on BK.

Strapped it on also. I'll just test it and try to clean up the wiring later on.
The thicker mounting pad feels a bit to soft.
It feels easy to twist the gyro when mounted, so i mounted it on the boomblock with the thin tape and will see how it goes.

Ill get a video out, but i cant do tic-tocs and stuff like that yet.

Test flight went pretty well!
I thought the 401B was performing very well on my bird, but this gyro shows me the difference. Normally i come out of a stationary flip or fast loop a little crooked, and i thought i was just messing up giving a little unwanted stick movements. I dont have EXPO on my Tx, so any error in control wil be shown in flight. My flips and loops look much cleaner with the GA-250, but more noticeable to me i feel much more confident flying in the confined space now. I just kicked it around not worrying coming out a loop wrong and smashing into a house again.

One problem i found is after a left piro it over compensates to stop the taiol and it wags once or twice, and that doesnt go away with very low gain.

I will play around with the servo horn position to see if i can get it better.

Video will be uploaded in about an hour

The bushing in the tail pitch slider is not a 100% fit on the tailshaft, so it can rock a little bit. Other than that i got all the slop out of it and using a CF pushrod.

Ill try to get it a little tighter with a bigger piece of fuel tube between the arm and slider.

EDit:

correction on the slop. A little CA in the bushing, putting it over the lubed up tailshaft... 0 slop now

will test again

I like these arms to reduce slop:

Use CF rods, too.

The less slop seems to make things worse. Or perhaps my tail has a vibration again after assembling again. tomorrow ill try with another servo, and perhaps the thicker foam pads.

i have been using silicone to glue my gyro down to the sponge pad , seems to work pretty good .

I agree. The thin tape seems too thin and the thick tape seems to thick, and too soft. I'd like to see some double sided tape, more like the thickness of the align tape (~2mm).
