where you see it's soldered by hand?

we are not send any hand soldered GA-250 samples to HK.

all GA-250 producted on SMD line, except a little quantity can't through the first step QC and need fixed by hand treatment later.

in manual paper, there have a list.you can use that to compare your servo's manul/features.

i guess 1520/333 is more popular in china made servos.

I've ordered one and I'm planning on using an MKS DS 480 which is 1520/333. I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of value I'm going to get out of my $9 gyro!

The question is where to get one!

Can't find them selling anywhere, I'd like to try it on my helis 450 or 500.

Beautiful 30c sunny day here, snuck off while wife was at sisters and put 2 battery through my 450gt. am only up to basic sports flying so only did some circuits and stall turns ,put a few hard banked turns in and was very happy with the tail response best of all didn't have any drift prob like the 401b, also changed speed to 1520us 250hz, servo was just warm to the touch after two packs cheers scott

Scott, yep perfect day for flying here in Ballarat too. I've decided to give up on the hk401b, like you I can't stop it drifting and it's driving me nuts! Do you think that a GA-250 would be fine on a 500 machine? Tail servo on it right now is a cheap Turnigy MG930.

i've come to the conclusion that the drift problem with gyros is more related to Tx resolution than the gyro. if smaller steps were available you would be able to cancel the drift.

received my assan a few days ago, the weather is so bad here it will be a while before i fly it.

Hi frenche ballarat ,nice town been in the area heaps detecting over the years , i was having bad drift with the 401b but the assan gyro seems to be very stable so far, i keep coming in and hovering in front of me and let go of the rudder stick and the tail sits nice and still. don't no much about your tail servo but by the sound of it just getting rid of the drift will make it worthwhile swapping gyros .seems like its going to be like a sh-t fight getting one any time soon though cheers scott

In my opinion, you are not allowed to complain about Hk401B drift unless...

1. make sure there is no excess vibrations (balanced blades, straight shafts etc)

2. Glue the circuit board to the case.

3. Do proper mechanical setup in rate mode.

4. Save the zero point by toggling the gain switch three times.

If it still drifts, the you have the right to say it is a bad gyro

My GA-250 is on it's way from Hobbyking. I am going to replace HK401b (which does not drift) on my HK450GT. Thanks to the review by Scott, I have high hopes of the gyro.

I have bought two and both work the same. You just cannot skip any of the 4 steps I listed.
