The New Cheapest MEMS Gyro

Hi,Guys,

we,ASSAN, developed a New Cheapest MEMS Gyro in the world,it's called GA-250,a tiny MEMS gyro.we have been shipped to Hobbycity/Hobbyking and you will see it on theie web two or three days later.

it's our first touch on MEMS gyro and we are lucky that the MEMS sensor have been truns cheap now.the sensor's price down sharply depend on the MEMS technology development and the huge expand on the market this year, espeical depend on Apple pull and runing MEMS sensors in thier Iphone/Ipad etc.

here is a brief of GA-250.
-----------
Technical Features
Sensor: MEMS
System control: AVCS (Angular Vector Control System).
Dual-gain function: two operational modes can be selected through the transmitter: AVCS mode and Rate mode.
Compatible with all digital servos, include 1520us, 760us and 960us.

Technical Parameters
1. Operating voltage: DC 3.0 ~ 9.0V
2. Operating current: 20mA(At 5.0V)
3. Operating temperature: -15℃ ~ 60℃
4. Dimensions: 21 21 10mm
5. Weight: 8.0g(Include Connectors and Wires)
-----------

How it's behiviour in your heli? there will have enough real stories in 2011.

thanks and Happy New Year!

Hmmmmmm, who anywhere in the world has free return shipping

If the price is right, I'll add one to the collection, I still have 2 helis running piezo gyros.

this is why i dont buy cheap gyros anymore.
the return shipping cost more than the gyro, thats why they offer this stuff so cheap.
they know if they sell 30 bad units, they may get one back because people dont normally spend 27 bucks to return a 20 dollar item.

now if the re-turn shipping was free, i would try one myself.

dont get me wrong, this could be a decent gyro. but im so tired of eating money on a could be. until these cheap knock-off companies start offering free re-turn shipping, im not buying any of it.

Assan, you have some more information for us?

I would like to know if it has settings like limit and delay.
Also what is the max piro speed?

Any other settings we can play with?

the manual tells you how to set the limits, it also says no analog servos so there should be no delay.

All in all, does not look like a bad gyro, I will likely keep upgrading to FBL so not sure I need any more tail gyros, but if the price is right, I will pick one up to play with.
