Np, build one. It's a great flyer and not too hard to cut by hand. Be patient and go slow.

These are some of my latest builds. They simply float in the air.

Nice to see this thread again. I should probably add my subsequent Skeletonize foam planes that I've built since then, the latest being my Super STOL. I'll try and add them this weekend. Others should add their more recent skeltonized foam planes too. I think it still remains one of the good ways to get weight and wing loading down for indoor flying. And, since we are heading into indoor seasons, now is the time to try one of these if you haven't already.

I am thinking whether I should try and skeleton one of these models as well. Right now it is 70 grams without battery for a wingspan of 24". I feel I can bring this to around 50 grams AUW and make it fly nice and slow with single cell Lipo.

What do you think Gordon?

I built yet another Dr-1, this one in 2012. This one was specifically to fly in my family room, and rather than actuators it used Nick Leichty servos and a Deltang RX. weight came in at 9.0 grams.

2011 must have been a productive time for me. Next was the Heptaplane, with 7 wings.
