Sea Fury or FW-190 ?

Does anyone know if there's a Balsa kit of a Sea Fury in the aprox. 30" size? I figured that's what I'd like to build this winter....among other things... FW-190 might be possible as well

Just post any WW2 Balsa Kits you know of it that size...never hurts to have alot to choose from...

Ted Biggs, who posts on this forum, did a s-400 sized Sea Fury a year or two back.

I don't know if Ted is making plans or kits available.

I've just come in from the workshop, and my 42" on is now completely ready for test-flying.

Hi Mats,

You'll probably have to blow up a set of free flight plans, or reduce
a set of larger plans.

In the UK Westwings make a rubber power Sea Fury but only 21" span. One shop is www.samsmodels.demon.co.uk/hawkerseafury.html
is that any use?

30 inch span warbird sounds like s400 to me.

Yeah maybe but it wont be DD in that case, that'd pull to many amps for LiPo cells....or wont it ?

A 6V sp 400 on a gunther on 2s1p E-tech 1200's will not be pulling that many amps DD. I'd guess arund 7.

I plugged that into my motocalc setup for 28" Mescherschmitt, and it looks about perfect - decent climb, running about 6.7A static.

It looks a great lighweight setup - apart from the heavy motir, but heck, you need weight up front to balance it anyway

You COULD gear it and reduce top speed (about 40mph) and get more climb. But there is not a lot of room up that size of warbird..a 1.85 box and an 8x6 will climb better but be slower.

1.5 looks the nicest on those cells and motor, and a 7x5E prop.

You mean my S&B Tempest?
Yeah but I landed a bit roughly on the maiden and after that
when I give full throttle the first inch or so of the plane vibrates...
The motormountplate must be loose or something.....
Havn't looked into it yet...
