Tnx! So the orientation of the FFImu is ok when the led is in front?

I do see a need for a proper manual and documentation for this, and I am working it now. It will be public before the first ones hits your mailboxes!

Jussi
Basic manual and documentation would be highly appreciated!

1-2 weeks....

Factory fubared some barometers, and they are ordering new ones now.....

I am also about to order a new batch from another manufactorer....those should only take 3 weeks to produce!

I am considering to drop the onboard barometer, and instead offer a seperate breakout....what is your opinion about this? Price for total combo should be rougly the same...I am also considering Measurement Specialties sensors for altimeter instead! I got some here, and will build some breakouts and send to coders/developers!

http://www.meas-spec.com/product/t_product.aspx?id=8501

I got answer from Invensense on MPU6050 (after 3 weeks). Availability should be end of june...I did not get a reply on my samples request - Invensense custumer service really sucks!

So I made a list, and want to ask you guys if it is complete??

Paul's Flyduino
Paul's BOB for the FFIMU from Jussi
Paul's Power distribution board
Jussi's FreeFlight IMU 1.22L
FTDI Basic Breakout - 5V from http://www.freeduino.eu/

Ok, than I will turn the FFImu. The text "Front" on the Warthox board points the other way and I don't want to make any mistakes.

ALL 4 sensors on the FFIMU are working properly! Checking the pin out and motor mapping - according to the MultiWii pin out - but we might end up with something completely different.

The aim is to get it working on Paul's Flyduino and Jussi's FFIMU.

We're in the process of making the cheap Goodluckbuy ultrasonic sensor (8$ incl. shipping) work on the MultiPirate right now.

Cheap GPS units (25$ at Oharp) will follow soon.

I'll announce further progress in the Pirates' Productions thread later:

Hi Norbert,I will build a new quad as soon as possible and was thinking to use ardupirate but if this new branch offer sonar and gps with all the functions I wonder if that would be better.When can we hope to have this code perform as good as ardupirate?Weeks or a few months?

Hey all you guys yusing the Ardu Mini Pro I have wired things up and all seems to work in the configurator - One thing I am seeing is that I am unable to connect with my DX7 to initialize the motors - The Promini is just flashing green very rapidly unless it gets input from the FFIMU - Anyone know what is going on? I have increased the travel to 125% on throttle but no change - Any help would be great -

Jussi,
My IMU is performing flawlessly on V1.7, and I'm working through my issue with the new V1.dev code. Thanks for all of your dedication to this product!

Hi,

@ JussiH: Your 1.1 Board was NOT THE CULPRIT. today i used it on a stock arduino and a sparkfun level converter without any problem, all sensors work.
turned out that the self built levle shifter with the 2 BS 170 caused the problems, i just wonder why as i had no problems with it before...
any way problem solved

thanks for pointing me to the testGUI helped a lot

kind regards

Christoph

just lower define throttle like this for my dx8:/* Set the minimum throttle command sent to the ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) */
/* This is the minimum value that allow motors to run at a idle speed */
//#define MINTHROTTLE 1300 // for Turnigy Plush ESCs 10A
#define MINTHROTTLE 1120 // for Super Simple ESCs 10A
//#define MINTHROTTLE 1190

it works for me with turnigy plus 12A

I would suggest making it wiki based so that people can contribute to it.

Regarding the MS5611-01BA, the new altimeter capable of 10cm resolution, I already designed a libre breakout board for it and integrated it in the upcoming FreeIMU v0.4 .. enjoy.

I'll be on holiday next week but expect some Arduino libraries for the altimeter as soon as I get back home. ;-)

I got called into work today....

I have made a very preliminary manual for the FreeFlight IMU. It covers the basics...I will update it when I have more time!

It can be found in post 1 on this thread.

Thank you very much JussiH!
