Hobbico Flyzone Cessna 182 DX6i radio settings

I have purchased an ARF Hobbico Cessna 182 from Towerhobby for my son for Christmas. I ordered the AR6100 rx for it (thinking I could use it with the DX6 tx I have, found out it's not compatible) I have the DX6i (ordered the son one too) I was wondering if someone would know how I should set up the programming on this radio for it's maiden flight. I know I'm gonna have to throw in some expo for him (his first real rc plane) but I need the basics to get started with. Any help is apprechiated. Thanks.

You will need to bind the Rx to the Tx (see manual or website). As far as Tx setting for your Cessna (expo, etc), would suggest searching the web for your plane in forums (rcgroups, rcuniverse, etc). Of course there is the Flight reviews or Build logs somewhere (typically) and good chance will find setting there.

Sorry I can not give you the info you are after, dont have that plane or know it's characteristics.

Maddog0963,

I have the same Cessna and I am using an AR6110 with my JR 9503 radio. I will send you my expo settings latter. But, I set my throws according to the manual. I did not have to change any linkage settings at the servos or horns. Plug the flaps into Aux 2, and the lights into the gear channel. Hope that helps...Dave
