1 revolution and throw!
hi,

here are some pictures of my first wing (after complete lockout at 40meter high and straight dive .... )

i cut the carbon on the bottom side of the wing where the servo's go (next time i would cut the carbon patch a little bigger and leave the rohacell to glue it back )

then i removed enough rohacell to make the servo's fit.

when flaps folded down i "drilled" a hole with a steel rod (very thin one at first ) from the folded side to the servo bay and try to get as close as i can to where i wan't to be.

correct direction if not perfect while drilling bigger .

then i put in a carbon tube with a steel rod that fit's the tube, make a Z-bend in it and put it thru the servohorn .
i got the tube, rod and servo in at once after putting some epoxy on the bottom side of the servo bay(top wing skin).

let it cure and afterwards make a Z-bend right above the hingeline.

cut some slot's on the aileron and install the horns with ca and microballoons.

close up evrything and done!

(the hole in the rohacell must be big enough at the aileron cause that's where the rod moves up and down as ailerons are deflected)

hi,

nope this is a unique plant developed and grown only by be .

it's very easy tough, just put some seeds in the ground begin march and give plenty of water , 6 weeks later you can harvest.

no they were drying after i washed them , apperently my dad took some pictures

1 revolution and throw!

full carbon

hi,

here's my new bird for contest flying.
altough i'm not sure i will mount the tail's on my competition model cause they are somewhat on the heavy side. 16.9 grams for the set .

the wing is within tolerance (my tolerance for weight)
161 gram with rds and torsional very, very stiff.

first national contest next monday and i will build me another one for back-up .

it really get's hot in the sun so i have to be carefull and put on protection bags while not flying

+- 290 gram

i don't fly my other plane's below 330 unless it is deadcalm weather , like before sundown , so i don't mind it weighing 290 or a little more , as long as the weight is centered , so the tailset is a bit to heavy for me.

i'm not so fanatic about the looks , but it is torsionaly so stiff..

Good area, a bit heavy but strong for sure!
Is very important the strenght, with a strong launch my extra light rudder (2.1 dmē) was damaged, so I was evalutating to change part of the skin.

normally i make them half spread-tow, half glas , like you can see in previous posts , they are very strong and durable , a gram or 2 extra weight is the downside of it...
