might as well just order an extra fuse, canopy, and cowl. About 115 and you could save on shipping when getting the laser.

fuse kits are cheap though, granted you are going to need a canopy and cowl from the looks of it but for about 115 before shipping its cheaper than a full kit.

Ahhh, that's too bad man. Let me know when you get the Laser. I'm thinking a 60" Laser at Christmas would be a perfect gift, hope they are out by then.

from the looks of it he drilled it in nose first and took out everything between the firewall and the wing tube.

I would send the motor to ken for a bearing check and your servo's back to have them checked. I had a aileron servo lock up in flight after I hit the gear and spinner during low tick-toc. Checked out fine after the crash but I was flying around and noticed a servo became unresposive in a hover. Was able to get it in and no servo control on the right wing.

I have a hard time flying planes with trees in the background...a green plane with mountainside trees in the backgroud would give me even more trouble I expect.

The guy is a good pilot (better than me), but one thing I've been trying to learn is to have the plane come to me when I hover, and not chase it all around.

Not trying to throw you under the bus Doc, but this simply is not true. If you are flying these planes even remotely tail heavy you are missing out on how good they really fly. Landing them should be a piece of cake.
My extreme Flight planes are the easiest landing planes in the world. I usually set up the CG to the tail side of the range given in the manual, sometimes a little more. No need for mixes, the planes can be crabbed/side slipped down from high altitude very quickly, even almost vertically, to burn speed or altitude, and can land very well. I even "landed" without ailerons hooked up to the receiver, if you count breaking a wheel pant as a good landing

If you want something that is very difficult to land, try a parkzone foam extra 300 with the flat top wings (they had a run of bad wings)...that plane was the biggest bear to land in the world. I could never find a CG that was good for landing and for flying. I could come up with a CG that resulted in some fun flying, but the landings would be a bear. I sold the plane--it would be interesting to try it again to see how many of my problems landing that plane were due to lack of experience.

practice flying towards yourself in inverted harrier. moving a hover is then as easy as leaning back a touch to enter a really high alpha inverted harrier and controlling direction with rudder.

I don't think my 78" Extra will be back in the air so soon, unfortunately.
Favorite.plane.ever. Would love to say it was equipment related, but I simply zigged when I should've zagged.

Stuff happens. Fortunately, the engine, pipe, radio, batteries, and three servos survived, along with a spare part or two. Maybe
Oh DOC... we need a Viking burial over here!
