OK, so I am almost all done. QUESTION--which decal should I use on the SFG's?? I am afraid they will get beat up on the asphalt and I am tempted to use the decals elsewhere. Thoughts?

ALSO-- the tail/rudder has two more decals that have to be applied with the 'comet tails' on them.

Carbon fiber spinner looks cool, hard to tell in the pic, but I was showing the gap anyway.

Can't wait to fly her, the kit went together really well and was fun to build!

So here she is........

That looks sweet!

I'm right up there with docaustin if there is no camera or witness.

At least that's how I remember it.
I've had awesome flights like that, too...

...and then I wake up.

Awesome.

Son says "Nice crash" (with a smile).

Thanks for uploading. Did you lose elevator after the first KE contact with Earth, or did you lose orientation?

No, the right wing tube broke, and then it bounced back into the air, rolling over onto it's back. I yanked in the full up elevator to bury it because it looked like it wanted to go into the pits. It's ok. I had a plethora of epic flights with that plane and we made something like 13 videos with it.... It was just the 13th that wasn't so lucky.

I fly hard when I make video. The one thing you can always count on watching one of my videos........ that's all I've got. Occasionally it doesn't go so well.

Nice graphics, but overall, I think these are the best shots of the Laser I've seen so far. I may have to get the 60 for myself.

In the meantime, I'm putting the accessories together for the 78 over the last few days... I won a 50% off coupon from Castle at the electric fun-fly event last weekend at MCRC that turned out to be worth $135, so for all the great help and discounts, thank you Castle, thank you Hacker, thank you Mejzlik, and thank you Savox.

Looks like we may have a new EF plane for the Deland Huckfest, and between me, Frank, Maynard, Carl, Skylor, and Tom, the skies over MCRC this fall will be filled with Extreme Flight airplanes from 48 to 78 inches... I'm guessing 16. I think Tom's will make it four 78 inch Extra 300's at our field... and there will be video.

And congratulations to Doc and Tom for taking first and second place in the 2012 Park Flying Freestyle Video Contest here on RC Groups... And thanks to Flopgun for gathering some cool sponsors for the event. If I'm not mistaken, I think EF planes came in first, second, and fourth.

Don't remember, but whatever it was didn't work out very well.

I thought the manuever itself was pretty awesome but the exit not so hot.

I'm sure someone will study it frame by frame and figure out the stick inputs.

I hit three of those in a row right into a landing in practise. I haven't tried it again since, at least not that low.

It was a screaming inverted pass, and I pull the nose stright down, hesitate a half second, and them full right, full right, full up. It's just an inside snap roll, but when you start from iverted it really goes crazy.

thanks it kinda looked like a snap but like you said it went crazy after that. Really need to work more on my snaps and tying everything together with them my snaps tend to be lazier and I lose energy.

anyone got a 10 of $50 tower coupon? Usually they put them on the your packing slip, don't have any extra xoar props left.

The plane I wrecked in the last video is still flying. I sold it to a friend in Orlando and his sons flew it for at least a year and they just sold it so someone else. I think you have to actually fully kill one of these things to get it to stop flying.

I just put together a new red and it flies perfect, just like the last one. I really love these Extra EXPs.

Don't know about Savox, but rcdude.com has the Xoar props in stock.

You're going to lose energy in a snap for a lot of reasons. Foremost is that you are rotating the plane hard and the whole thing becomes a giant airbrake.

When I learned snap rolls we didn't have 3D and we didn't have 3D set ups. We did inside snap rolls simply by using full aileron and rudder (same direction) and full up elevator. This doesn't work so well with a 3D planes for a lot of reasons I don't understand. I believe the big controls and big deflection put so much drag on the plane that it slows too fast before it can rotate, and on most snaps with full deflection the plane will sort of wallow through it lazilly.

Andrew Jesky calls this a "3D snap."

I've found that you can still use full rudder and aileron, but you need to use only about 1/4 elevator, and then the plane will snap properly. The problem is not the airplane or anything you are doing wrong. It's more like a 3D set up won't let the plane snap cleanly. Just for the heck of it, snap roll the plane on low rates and watch the difference.

Strangely for some odd reason I cannot explain, every 3D palne I have had does snap well to the outside.

A lot of the top pros use a separate rate strictly for their snap rolls, but that is simply too much switch flipping for me because I forget to flip back. I do more outside snaps because I am more sure of myself with those, and on inside snaps you will see me use a little more caution.

How do you guys think the power would be on the 78'' Extra with a DLE 35R?

I heard the DLE 30 was barely enough
