Looks cool. Do you know if they were the 7955 HV? Did he have to do anything to get them to work right? Thanks Buzzed.

Yep, HV. Sounds like it went together really ez and fast. I don't think he mentioned anything about the servo setup.

I will ask him though.

I have the EME35, 5 x HS-7955s, 1 x HS-5496 for throttle, Fromeco Wolverine switch, 2 x 2s 1300 lipos, optima 9, and a 16 oz fourtitude tank.

I forgot to post the video earlier

He said he just centered them and slapped the servo arms on them. They work great!

I have had a blind nut fall out of my wingtip on my 70" Extra's SFG.

Is there a quick fix for this, or is opening up the wing necessary? I have been flying without SFGs but I would like to tackle this before SEFF rolls around...

Quick fix.... and they worked great. They were actually recommended by Chris a while back. Just make sure you get them in far enough so they are even with the wing tip edge surface. Not sure of the 70 size but these were for the 78.

Actually removing the covering from the wing tip and cutting just enough balsa on the wing tip to re install the blind nut is the quickest and easiest repari.

Hate to get political, but the SSI tax *rate* just went from 4.2 to 6.2%. This means that the amount you'll pay on your check will be up 47.6% over last year.

Anyway, not sure how this will pan out for the hobby.

I was reading about the history of model aviation and was surprised by the number of people involved during the great depression.

But, for a lot of people, their take home income just went down $50-$250/month, depending on how much they earn.

I think it is going to have an impact. That could be a new airframe per month for a lot of people.

You can fix this a couple of ways without cutting any covering.
1. Drop a line down through the hole, down the wing and out the other side. Put the blind nut on and then tie on an object behind it like a nut or small rod. Pull line back up through the wing with the new blind nut. When you get it close to the wing tip, center it on the hole and then pull the line tight to seat the blind nut. Cut the line and then thread a screw and washer and tighten it to ensure the new blind nut is seated. Now you are ready to put your SFGs back on.
2. Use same procedure above but use a rod with a L bend instead of a line
