Everything else looks pretty good to me. The 600tvl camera from rmrc is the best camera i ever used. It is truly top dog there.

I always felt image quality to be most important to my enjoyment of the fpv experience. Thus, i make the above recommendations because that's what i personally use.

Thanks.......................Bill

Oh... can a magnet affect signal wires or the receiver?

I just realiced that i have a magnet to lock the canopy and the magnet is literally 2-3cms over the Rx/PPM encoder and near of it pass the PPM / camera / VideoTX and pan servo wires...

Ski goggle mod, of course. The light shield isn't very good. The way I do it is really weird. I cut out the lens, then insert the goggles with the ski goggles on my face. I then adjust the goggles to where I want them and hot glue them in place while they are still on my head. This way I know they line up right.

It shouldn't. Magnets are a static field. If they are allowed to vibrate, that's a different story...

Thanks...

if i (still) dont get noisy in the video image is worth shielding the cable that goes from OSD to videoTX? Does that wire induce RF noise?

If my servos dont move or glitch or jitter with the 1.2Ghz 850mW Tx on does it means they dont need shielding?

FPV Gods/Alex,

I need a bit of advise.

I went for a swim today to retrieve my sons Easy * after I lost radio link within LOS. I was at max half mile away. I assume the unfiltered 200 mw 900 mhz Tx is making my AR6200 unhappy being they are so close. Should I extend the power and signal leads to I can mount the Tx on the tail boom, buy a filter, or both?

The plane was found right-side up servos glitching away because the Rx was submerged. All electronics are hanging out in a bag of rice for a few days.

In FPV do not use spektrum for RC control unless it feeds a UHF system.
I also lost control within LOS but I just raised up Tx and got control back but that was with AR7000 with satelite Rx.

So that is a hard and fast rule? Not looking to break any distance records but I should be able to make it out of sight(if I wanted).

you consider 2500ft LOS, I do not.
I believe LOS is distance that you can fly airplane without FPV gear.
if not "Not looking to break any distance records " stay within 1000ft

Maybe my judgement of how far it was is a bit off then. Seems like that distance when you struggle through waist high soybeans. I watched it go in LOS for sure.
