"Glory Days" Vintage Model Flyin

Ok guys, its official. May 21st 2011 at the Old Julian Airport Field in Julian, NC. Look for more updates as the event plans unfold. Mark your calendar as it most likely is the only event of its type being offered. Hopefully this will be a good starting point for more to come!!!

Wouldn't this be a great get together opportunity for the Vintage & Old-Timer Designs forum gang to meet and fly our models?! I'll have to put this date on the calender...

Soft landings,

Joe

Muffler Rule

Joe, also remember that at the "Glory Days' event that if your engine was not originally supplied with muffler from the factory you are not required to have one. The muffler rule is waved. So the guys with the "Vintage" engines bring them along with your earplugs!!!!

Just wondering: what's the name of that yellow high wing model in the poster? Don't think I've ever seen it before. Looks very nice.

Thanks, Bill. I thought it might be some kind of Buccaneer but it looked somehow different to me. Very nice.

Big Quaker

Yep, it is quite a sight!! I think he may have converted it to Electric if I'm not mistaken. I need to contact Evan and find out!!

Here's another BIG old timer that belongs to Bob Bingaman. He lives in Durham now and I hope he can bring it out as well as other giants he has!!
