cheapskate extroardinairé
well, I got my new foamboard shrike finished!! it's made from all dollar tree foam, except for the aluminium tape on the bottom. will take some pics once the camera is charged, but for now, here's the specs:
wingspan 56"
root chord 10"
tip chord 9.5"
sweep 3"
fuse: 4"x4"x16"
motor: turnigy 35-36 910kv swinging a 9x7 prop
esc: hobbyking super-simple 60-amp
battery: atm just a single 2200mah 3s, but could take up to 3 2200s in parallel. (currently have a lot of noseweight to compensate for the small pack until some more batteries arrive)
I'll take some pics tonight.

Here is my new FPV plane and base station. I took IBCrazy's advice and used a model I didn't mind crashing. Today was the maiden and it was a complete success! I was flying at Rancho San Antonio in California.

Thanks to everyone for the wealth of knowledge I've found in these forums.

Here's mine, not a plane exactly but certainly a great platform for FPV!!

900Kv motors spinning Graupner 10x5 props on 3s 500mAh battery's getting around 7-8 minutes flight time, not bad for a platform that weighs in at 4lbs!!

Video tx is hobbyking 200mw, im getting well over a mile range!!

bonus pics of the wife all glamed up for her 30th tonight
