I wish thu that they have a full hatch like the 40 size Escapade, which I have, it would have been so much nicer. Not sure why the made it small. The 30CC Escapade also has a huge hatch. BTW, I recommend the Saito 125 or the OS 75 for you (I may go YS110-115), either would be perfect. As a matter of fact, you can try both and see what really works for you. The open engine install is an excellent feature. |

I think this plane like its little brother is tolerant of CG, nevertheless If I use a YS, I will move the tank back as far as possible. This is one of the advantages of a pressurized fuel system. The hatch can be used for Rx, some telem sensors, switch and so on. Batt may be behind CG due to fairly heavy YS.

Lionel trains does a similar thing where they get "pre order" test run and if they don't meet a specific production quantity, they don't make the product. every single time they did a run, it was sold out in a very short time. A win-win situation! |

Thanks for that - you filled in a gap in my RC knowledge. I've never flown glow, only knew they seemed finicky.
Biggest challenge I've had with Escapades is getting them down. I'm probably overcautious about getting too slow, but my electric ones always came in hot. Thankfully they built the airframe & gear well - it can take it, even on our rough grass field. I expect the cowl-less gasser will slow down a bit quicker |

...Better late than never
Greetings all,
I've been combing this thread for tips to apply to my new,"still in box" Escapade. Lotsa good info you folks have provided over the years! Mine will be powered with a DLE 20RA, Tail glued, likely all else stock. Just looking for a relaxing Sunday flyer to compliment my Funtana X also powered with the DLE. Jamie |

Finally flew my DLE20 powered Escapade. Don’t think I took it above 3/4 throttle, just didn’t need to! All kinds of power & speed.
Flight ended with my first dead stick. I flew a bit too long & completely drained the tank. Pays to know your model - no panic, I had no doubts about getting her safely on the ground. Easy peasy. Just noticed those previous comments about the tail feathers. I never had any issues with my electric Escapades, but did notice during some maintenance that on this one, one of the fairings between the vertical & horizontal stabs had broken loose at the glue join. This is a rebuilt airframe that was previously electric. Don’t know if the crash was the culprit or the vibrations from the gasser that’s in it now. Doesn’t matter, it’s now securely epoxied in place to the airframe and both stabs. |

Yes I bought both a Revolver and a Escapade 61. The Escapade is staying in the box for a winter project. The Revolver went together with no problems. I could not tell the difference from these newer ones and the old one I had. Very well made.
