Can anyone confirm the c of g on the F9F Panther is indeed 25mm back from the leading edge? Seems pretty far forward.
Bajora that Katana sure looks like alot of fun!

Yes 25mm from leading edge will get you flying, it is quite lively and you may end up further forward if you like planes to be more stable. However it is a very small plane so changes should be made 1/16-1/8 inch at a time.

Any further back and it becomes ahandfull quite quick, I have flown it at way back as I like em twitchy but even with reduced throws and expo I found it uncomfortable so brought it forward again.

when I use 850mah lipos they need to be right in the nose to get it balanced, when using 1300mah I have the luxury of being able to adjust........

More Katana flights this afternoon. I hit LVC last outing and the Katana nosed over on final, impacting on green grass from about 75' up. The fuselage broke apart just forward of the intakes (appears to be a factory seam) and the wing also popped off. The paint on this model is a little odd in that it peels off in small sheets once it has been scuffed up a bit? I used some acrylic paints and touched up the airframe after gluing it all back together. Almost as good as new!

Don and I also maidened a Screamer with a Don's Wicked/Wemo combo on 3S in it. SUPER smooth flyer!

No plans made Rodger. Not spending nearly as much time with the RC stuff lately. You guys enjoy yourselves out there!

I finally received my skyangel f9f model today..Very nice looking paint scheme and foam and hardward seem as good as it gets... i fitted pieces all together and everything fits nicely...before i glue..i will check fan for rubbing and balance... Should i use 5min expoxy to glue this air frame together? or is there something better for these birds...thanks

I had a chance to fly the Katana this past weekend ..... what a cool little plane! Easy to hand launch, smooth in the air, easy to see, and you can fit about 15 of them in the car at a time! This thing is just screaming for an upgraded power system .......
