still think the std motor on 4s/ 6 blade impellor is hard to beat price wise.. I've got a AEO 50 to put in another model as n when one omces out I like ..

a black mantis 4800KV seems to work ok on the Std shroud / fan
I've just ordered a Turnigy 5000KV to direct replace my factory 4200KV motor ... that and using high C rated LiPo - should give the T45 a real boost. I'm waiting my 4S LiPo's to really get her singing ... and hopefully start on development to break the 100mph barrier with her.... possibly higher.

Eagle Tree data logger will be used on-board for speed checks as the doppler programs are subject to various errors and I want as accurate as possible ...

I'm really impressed with these 50mm jobs ... very handy size and surprisngly good flyers ... Friend has a Stinger and he says he likes the 50mm better !

The stinger flies great! But for the money you can't go wrong with the little 50mm jets. Everyone is amazed at how well they fly!

Horizontal Stab

Hi -- I just got the L-39 and notice that the elevator and stab have curve on its trailing edge. Is this supposed to be there or is it a defect? Both sides of the stab/elevator have the curve as if it were molded in on purpose. Thanks.

I recognize that M3 in the background...LOL

As for the Stab...mine did the exact same thing. As long as they are both the same I wouldn't worry about it. Mine has been that way from day one and it flies pretty amazing! I was going to sell mine but quickly reconsidered... The L-39 is a great flying jet!

You can sorta see the curve here...

Toysonics.com has them, though it's always good to confirm before placing an order.

The only differences between the ARF and RR are 2 servos and an ESC. You don't have any spares lying around?

Stock ESC is only 20-30A.

I've flown with a 3S 1000mAH 30C battery. If you have the CG set correctly, it should fly OK, you'll just have to give it a good toss to give it enough speed to generate lift and airflow over the control surfaces.

Will be way too heavy on the F-22. Will end up being a nose heavy pig to fly unless you ballast the tail get the CoG right.
