Guys, I would like to build a Post WWII Aircraft Carrier in my back yard next to my runway. I may even at some point build a 1 foot deep lake under it so it will be surounded by water. Can someone do some ruff math and let me know about how large the deck would be for these 50mm type jets?

Fun Fun,

Jon,
Beautiful vid and pic. I retired mine from multitude of times my elevator has snagged grass and torn off. Loved the plane's looks otherwise.

Thanks for the vid Jon! Looks sweet as usual. Once I get off my butt and fix the linkage that popped off I've got to add a little more expo ... Still a bit more reactive to inputs then I'd like but other then that's it's a blast to fly.

My buddy Brain came up with about 50 foot long.
Any one else come up with a smaller number?

The current plan (in my head) is to have it laid out like a real one with 2 cat launchers for takeoff and an angled landing deck with 4 wires.
I think once we have the HD camra looking at the aircreaft comming in ( from the ccarrior tower) to land it should make it easy to lign up with the center line.
So the jet pilot will look at the landingf deck from the side and will also have the option to see the video comming from thr carrior.
I think its going to be a blast. If it were smaller I would try to build it on a car trailer or something so it could be moved to an event when needed.

replacement DF motor?

Ok Guys, I have the SkyAngels T-33 that I fly stock. I use a 20c Lipo. The plane flys fine on straight and level but when I climb it kind of mushes. I think I need more power. My question is .. Does anyone know of a upgrade motor (stock is 4200kv) that will drop in to the stock fan unit and still allow me to use the stock ESC? I see the Dons Wicked Hop-Up but I would rather have a drop in motor.

Or will upgrading the battery to like a 30 - 35C work without buying a new ESC.

Thanks.

Put a 4s 1300 battery in it and every thing will be fine.

The jump from 3cell to 4 cell won`t kill the ESC? BTW, what amp ESC comes with these?

I have done all of mine that way . The ESC is 30 amps, mine only draws about 28 on 4 cells.
I have ran this way all summer and they work just fine.
