Acid runway.

Blake reports that the sand in his area has about the consistency of talcum powder. And it coats everything in about 10 min. You can see him dusting the runway during the hover. Can't imagine trying to keep all that crud out of a gas engine without a K&N filter LOL

We have a 300x15ft tarp strip... and the dirt is pretty well packed. What happened was the county came in to level the field (old landfill) because of standing water in the low spots. They offered to level the runway as well... but didn't mention the dirt was just fill dirt from way down in the Earth that has no nutrients to grow grass. The only grass we do have (you can see in my videos) is where high spots were and the old grass is punching through. So that creates high spots as the wind blows the dirt around and it hits the grass and stops so we have some mounds... you can see in my recent video how the plane skidded up onto its nose after landing at the end of the video.
