I like all your work! Great presentation. Where's the wing/horizontal view? I already have my yak design but if its ok can i use your cutouts on your plane to maybe mill onto my design? just the pattern?
i'm too lazy to design my own triangles

How do I change this text?

Just came across this thread. Looks like a great build. Well done! Trying to decide whether to upgrade my 4-site to BL or strip the parts to put on something homemade like this yak. After seeing your video in the first post, I'm thinking that homemade yak is the way to go.

The new guy
Is that painter's plastic actually lighter (per square inch) than 3mm EPS or EPP foam?

yes, the The 0.35mil drop cloth is extremely light. There is around a gram of covering on the plane. It weighs about as much as the vapor's mylar covering, but isn't quite as stiff. The plane has more surface area than the 4-site but is about 3g lighter.

hey adam great work! I really like it. I see that you have posted a pic of the fuselage and rudder earlier in the thread. Do you think you could post a pic of the wing and elevator as well? I would like to take a shot at building this one since I just got done building my first skeletonized airplane (Gordon's Airbender) and I really enjoyed it and I am looking for more plans in the skeletonized format. I could just save the image, open it up in adobe illustrator, enlarge to the correct size and then put it in tile format for printing. Thanks man, awesome work as usual

That looks like a great performer Adam.
I might have trash my still flying 4site for the internals, instead of waiting for the Extra.
What is the wingspan and length of your bird?
And what glue did you use for the covering, 3M77?

Stein

MIT KID,
Any updates, or plans for this little Yak? I assume you added carbon in some areas to stiffen it up. Although, I couldn't see it in the pics.

Designing something...
Looks very nice. I'd love to get a hold of a dxf file. My laser cutter is waiting.
