How To Make Futaba Big 6 Pin Cord Work With Reflex Simulator

Hi,

I have Futaba T6XHs radio and is working fine with sim cord with usb dongle on FMS sim but Reflex XTR is not detecting it, can anyone help me find the solution?

What is the pinout for Reflex sim, I can manage to change the connections.

Thanks.

Relflex needs its own proprietary interface (dongle) to work. You know, the interface that comes with Reflex when you buy it. You can't just use the Reflex software with any old USB interface.

The solution is to buy a retail copy of XTR. This will, as Steve pointed out, come with the proprietary interface needed for XTR to function

So getting back to the original reply... do you have the genuine Reflex dongle ?

You just cant grasp it... in order for any interface to work it needs to receive the PPM signal from the TX. If a cheap USB interface that emulates a windows joystick in control panel works with FMS then it's obviously receiving the PPM signal from the TX (most pin outs are well documented on the net) so the same pin on your TX must be used in both cases

The FACT that it doesn't work with XTR is that the XTR dongle (interface) amongst other things encrypts the packet data that gets sent to the PC. The software then receives this encrypted data and deciphers it. It's this data encryption and handshaking that forms the copy protection for the software. Now unless you are cleaver enough to work out that encryption, and can then re-program the PIC micro that forms the hart of the interface using your bog standard interface WONT WORK with XTR !

The other factor is that this is trying to circumvent the copy protection of the product and whilst it is in breach of the rules and you risk getting warnings, it is also illegal.

To answer your question directly, the Reflex interface is terminated with a jack and the Reflex "pinout" is tip = signal, outer = ground.

Not sure how much that helps you, but now you know .
