New Product

F3P RT Super Sirius

Nice video from the new Super Sirius designed by Robin Trumpp. Exclusively distributed by Hacker, it just might become widely avaibable wherever you can get Hacker motors.

RT Super Sirius (3 min 5 sec)

Another nice looking model for tech-one to copy very soon then

Video is really nice and does justice to a true F3P model

Nice looking plane...great video work...and the specs look good at 110g. I'm guessing it won't hit the shelves in time for this season but next year....?

Hi Mike,

on the Hacker website, it says 51. calendar week, i.e. just prior to X-mas:

http://www.hacker-motor-shop.com/e-v...&c=4083&p=4083

€55.- for the kit also appears to be very reasonable.

Hi,

I got my Hacker RT(Robin Trumpp) Super Sirius ready. Will fly next weekend. Hacker A10-15S engine with GWS 8x4.3 slow fly prop, Hacker X-5 brushless controller, Dymond D47 servos, Futaba R6004FF receiver, DesirePower 2S 250 mAh LiPo. Total weight including battery 120 gram in my case. Glued together only with UH por and all carbon rods attached with Beli-Zell glue. I used glass fibre hinges as described in the manual for this plane. The plane is rather fragile so it will not survive any hard encounter with floor etc. Ailerons, elevator and rudder area is huge I think. I skipped the "wheel pants". Reinforced engine mount with glass fibre tape.
Manual is here if anyone want to read it:

Hi,

Some pictures of my battery installation in RT Super Sirius. I use DesirePower V6 22C 2S 250mAh LiPo. I was not able to figure out any better way of installing the battery. Center of gravity was perfect for me when battery directly in front of the aileron servo.

The + mount that comes with my A10-15S is yellow / amber in colour. It is also very weak when you land nose first Your mount looks white / clear. Are hacker supplying different mounts now or have you bought or made it yourself?

Regards
Mike

Hi Mike,

The "cross" engine mount that is in the Hacker A10-15S box is very weak. It breaks as easy as a match. Nothing to use. Yes it is another much stronger engine mount I use but it is still Hacker that sell them. Hacker item number is 19617310, cost 2,20 Euro.
Here it is: http://www.hacker-motor-shop.com/e-v...&c=2519&p=2519
(A10-Fiberglass-Star - it is shown the "yellow" there but it is the white they deliver - at least the one they have sent me, You can also get it with the A10-Backmountingset complete 15616000).
I made a simple test for you - I used rather low bending force and the "yellow" Hacker engine mount broke more or less without resistance. The other Hacker "white" engine mount I can bend very much and it will still not break.

Thank you. I'll need to place an order for a couple of these. I wonder if they have only recently introduced these new, stronger mounts

Mike,

They had it October 26 2010 I know for sure since that was the date I got my Hacker "white" S10 engine mounts. I just checked the inovice from Hacker.
