Full Foxtech AIO Glasses Review
FoxtechFPV All-in-One Glasses:
FOR MORE PRODUCT REVIEW check http://altituderc.com/ FoxtechFPV is a fairly new company in the FPV market. They sell and produce some FPV products, like the AIO Glasses. So they have send me a pair of FPV All-in-one Glasses (AIO) to show you what is all about. I’ll not compare with other glasses, I’ll only say what those glasses do and if it worth buying in my opinion. If you have any questions after reading all this review, please feel free to ask. More reviews of other Foxtech equipment in near future. Before I start I must say that I’m a FPV pilot since 2 years now. My friend Steph and I started a new FPV youtube show, in French. www.youtube.com/galilee1986 and we have tested a lot of equipment in those 2 years. All the frequencies, cameras, and more. Right now, I fly with Fatshark 2.4ghz glasses and we’ve try a lot of glasses : Trimerssions, Myview, Fatsharks, and more. So I know a lot and I learn a lot each day too. Lets start. The packaging : The AIO Glasses are ship in the small metal box. No other small boxes in big boxes, only the metal box and some bubbles warp. The look of the box is really not that important, but Foxtech told me they are going to improve it. Inside: Usually, there is only the AIO Glasses and the related wires, but has I said, I’ll be doing more reviews for Foxtech, so he manage to fit the glasses, a DVR recorder and a 480 Cam in the small box. There is no manual in the box but there is one on his web site. Less shipping cost and paper cost. The look and the feel Now lets get down to business: The Glasses. First, they look, simple yet futuristic. They are really light too, even with the dual-band receiver (2.4ghz and 5.8 ghz) and a head-tracker build in. I don’t have a scale, but believe me they are. The head-band is really wide and adjustable in both sides, The sunshade is made in a really soft rubber. I can’t wait to see if that really works. There is three 3.5mm plugs. One for video in one for video out, and one for power. Connections: Those glasses have a 5.8 ghz AND 2.4ghz receiver build in. In additions, they have a head-tracker (HT) build in as well. The AIO use the power from the remote. It’s not a bad idea cause on the field, the less you have to switch on the faster you can fly. It uses a square Futaba trainer port connector. The inconvenient is if you want of use a 900mhz RX you have two cables running down your arm. The simple way to over right this would be to use the 5.8ghz build in receiver to transmit the 900mhz reveiver to the glasses. My remote is a Turnigy 9x, so there is no power in the 3.5mm trainer port connector, so I’ve made this modification with a USB female connector: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...8&postcount=14 So I have to make my own USB male connector Black with Black, red with red and brown with white. Ready ! Power it on: So I power my video TX 2.4ghz 1000mw Lawmate with a small CCD killer camera and my R/C TX. I push the power button for 3 sec. and the glasses power on. I turn the knob on the top right to access the on-screen menu. The OSD is really a great feature; with this we can access the frequency (2.4ghz or 5.8ghz), the channel the HT operate, the color adjustment, and another cool feature, the auto-correct of the HT. So I change my setting to 2.4ghz and my HT to Ch 7 and Ch 8 and I activate the auto-correct of the HT. I turn the knob to quit the OSD menu and change the frequency to Ch 1 and… BAM ! I see my CCD killer camera on my EZ. The optics and general confort I said BAM ! Because it’s really the sound my head thought when the image appeared. The optics and the color are just beautiful. The light is really good, they are lighter than any that I’ve tried. The frame rate looks good too. The size of the screen is reasonable, smaller than I expected, but bigger than most cheap glasses. There is a little deformation in the image, but I’m pretty sure is not that bad in the sky. I see a little of light in each sides but it’s so black all around the screen is just like there is noting. The rubber shades is really more difficult to adjust to your head. I assuming you cannot take off without it, take altitude without it and put it on your eyes in flight cause it take a bit of time to adjust the rubber thing to be comfortable. I have to say that they don’t have any heat too. Head-Tracker:The head-tracker has a pretty neat feature, an auto correct, but it has to work well. The auto-correct is a huge risk for Foxtech. The first reason is if you want to move fast, the auto-correct must correct fast too. If you move slow, the auto-correct must not correct the mouvements that you want. So I move my head around. The precision is really good. So I wanted to test the auto-correct to its limits, so I’m starting to move faster and faster and stop to any angle but not the extreme corners, just in the middle. And the auto-correct kicked in just right ! REALLY IMPRESSIVE ! Any angle, the auto-correct recalibrate his center…. I don’t know how… but it works beautifully ! The best HT I’ve used so far. Confort 8/25 Optics 24/25 Head-Traker 25/25 General 22/25 Total : 81/100 AltitudeRC episode 1:

if you remove the sun shade you find some pins in the top of the left visor
what those pins are for? there is also a blue led when removing the sunshade, can you explain what this led means? when battery is low, is there any type of warning? how comfortable they are to stay with them more than 2 hours? see a movie with them is ok or not very recommended? |

As simple as not confortable anought. For a flight of 20 min. its already alot. The rubber is goo for someone with glasses so her can puthis glasses and put Foxtech on it. For non glasses wearers,... not that good here is the modification with foam. With this mod... 25/25 for confort

as far as i know they are all shipped from HongKong
all FPV shops made a very big investment to purchase fatsharks, with low margin of win, so i don't think they are going to buy too those goggles, wich are 2x the price the most cheap site to buy them is hobbycity to date, they are also at himodel and foxtech |

Are there IPD or diopter adjustments to the lenses? And what is the "auto-correct" feature you were talking about with the head tracker? What exactly does that do?
