The shocking thing is these schools recieve taxpayers money.

well, unfortunately ... the basic nature of religion (ours is the one "true" way) lends to a very closed minded set of rules and dogma ... but there are and have been other religions that have been accepting of even other religions.

Case in point look at Japan where Shinto and Budhism coexist.

I do. I don't support any faith schools (well, okay against my will I do financially but you get my drift) however some are worse than others.

Religion should (IMO) be entirely seperate from academia - apart perhaps from a blurring of the edges where historical references are invoked, but even then, this should be restricted to historical facts alone!
