I plan on just using duel rates with low at 40% and high at 100% but that's what I'm planing on starting out with I'll have to fine tune it once I get mine in the air

Use Expo start at 50 % then go from there , add less or more if you need it forget the the dual rates once you use expo you will never use dual rates yes you can lessen the throws by using the ATV also , but expo all the way .

Got question for those of you have your planes already, but one thing that concerns me is when tony crashed his on the high Alfa pass was due to lack of ruder , but I think if he had more aileron control he could have saved it to. So what I’m thinking about doing his hooking one elevator servo to the correct spot on the receiver and hooking up the other on to the aux spot then use my mixing on my dx7 to have the elevator work that way eliminating the need for a y harness then use a second mixing activated by my flap switch to mix the ailerons with the elevators to make elevons what do yall think?

I think an elevon setup would work, because if you look at the f22, f35, and the f16 all of them can fly on an elevon setup, since the F18 kind of has the same setup it would probably work just fine.

Looks like when he stalled, the only thing that would have saved him was altitude to gain enough speed for lift and control authority. Control surfaces on a stalled wing do nothing.

I always use a dab of hot glue AND screw them in. It gives a little extra security.

Thank for the reply but what are the throws at 100% and 40% and what holes in the servo arms and control arms should use because that would affect the throws also? Sorry but my plane didnt come with a book just a sheet that only shows the CG

First what radio are you using? second the farther away the control rod is from the center the less through it will have but for most radios you can control the amount of through on your radio. Third you might of said this already but do you have this plane?

it arrived!!

Got my Jolly Roger today. All looks great except the nose gear was loose. Was going to attach with epoxy anyhow.

Bought the PNP version. Noticed on the vid on page 1 of this thread the install of a carbon rod connecting both wings thru the fuse. Since tubes are already in the wings and the fuse is buttoned up, couldn't you just get a rod to sleeve inside the existing tubes and put it thru the fuse for support?

Wife is out of town this weekend. Wonder what I will do to fill the time

Yes I bought it last weekend at the AMA show. I have a DX7 I'm just use to plan telling me throws like 1/2" at low rates 3/4" at high rates etc. I really want to fly this one this weekend, I fly a habu now.

Ok what I would do if attach the control rods to the outermost hole, then on your radio for your ailerons your plane is longer then it is wider so it will role fast so set them at like 50-60%, and your elevator set it at like 60-70%. That is just what I would do for your maiden flight and then after that you can fine tune your control setup.
