You can't go wrong with EDF Hobbies. Elmer provides great products!! And will dynamically balance them for you. (the smoothest edf fans I own)

I bought the 450 links ,which replaced those ,however, the damn plastic mounted ball joint broke on both my gear mounts....so, was it these parts that kept breaking? (I assumed it was the links themselves, everyone of mine broke) now Im not sure what to use ..didnt wanna spend more to replace the gear themselves

Received mine last week from Generalhobby, ripped out the stock power system- now on classifieds for $35,
dropped in a balanced CS 12B 4s fan, and HW 60A Opto- digging foam now for a set of old Turnigy retracts,
they're angled so have to mount like F16 with base at angle... should look more scale when finished

Moving ahead! Decided to add flaps, split the AIL Y leads and use each servo to its own port on X8R,
also adding LEFs(LESs), will run off flaps servo with a transition... CHANGE of PLANS! Had to rethink the servo-
now traditional set up with vertical servo- way simple

Left wing servo test

Swapped out the stock still spring on nose strut with a much softer compression spring

Hey F18 pilots that fly this- are you flying 3s or 4s!??? the stock ESC which I'm selling says 2s-3s!!
If I remember the site states its a 4s model but the batt bay looks tiny!! no way a normal 4s is gonna fit need to carve foam 100%- just curious what batts you guys are flying... I plan on 4s 45c 3000 3300 3700mAh batts...

I flew it on 4S, but using 25-30C back in the day.

Mains are now glued in place, on to nose gear and steering linkage
