Yeah, no biggie on the wing tip rails. Might do without them. Just curious.

I like the landing gear (retracts) for the cool factor although this plane does seem easy to hand launch watching others do it. Decisions-decisions.

Hey, at this price maybe I'll get another and have one with and without feet.

Washab-
I flew mine without the wingtips for a bit. You'll see no difference in performance. I did find that it was a bit easier to see with them on though.

Feet or no feet: Ground handling with this bird is a bit tricky. She wants to tip over and drag a wing tip on the runway pretty easily both going up and coming down. I found that when I ditched the stock retracts and went with eflites, it improved a bit but mostly from the elimination of the sloppy pull-pull steering and the fact that my stock nose strut had a lot of play where the axle hinges onto the strut. But the problem of the mains being so close together (narrow track) remains. The reason I mention this is that I wish I would have just made some wing tip rails from ply and had designed them to better protect the wing tips when going down the runway.

I like the way you think with having two! I may do another and put the retracts directly on the wing with a hot 5 cell setup so that I can hide the retracts with ordinance and not have the loss of speed from the additional drag.

Cool. Mine will be ready before spring. I'll try to make it as neat as I can. You
said you're going to use a 2800 motor in it? Mine got fried after 10 flights. (Great flights though.)

10 flights! Well, I suppose its worth a try still, maybe short full throttle burst only lol

Yeah, 85 amp esc, turnigy 2800 motor. All ready to go in now.
The tail from the fan back to the nozzles inside the fuse has aluminum tape and yellow and red LEDs installed... once the power system goes in I can see if it actually looks any good

So I have the stock gear and yes, it IS terrible. Not to mention I had to send my ESC back as it didn't work. Is it worth buying the stock retracts from nitroplanes? I am thinking the answer is no. I would love the eflites but 120$ something I jsut can't do right now. Too bad, like xfatdannx I too want ROG takeoffs and real landings.

I'd say don't trouble yourself with their retracts but if you'd like to try them, I've got the mains you can have. I don't have a complete nose setup but you're welcome to try the mains out. They're a bit bent I might add.

Does anyone have a set of the magnets that they'd be willing to send me?
