NICE! I needed a way to do it since I use different size lipos(2650/3000/3300) and have to check before each flight! Maybe I'll try Techno next time, this heavy metal can be confusing sometimes!

Since i am sitting around awaiting the arrival of my package, I decided to spend some time on some details. I went a head and did the nose gear doors. The light blue spec you see in the middle of the door is a light blue rubber band that i used to tie the doors together. I wish they would close on each other a little better but how they fit with the hinges doesn't seem to allow them. Oh well. From anything more than 3 feet away you can not tell.

Oh yeah, feel the CG groove!

But what I mean also is you can with something supportive like a CG machine whether home built or store bought get a little false info if you are too delicate. I can balance something not totally balance right with a little care. A little round robin under the plane with your fingers will tell you plenty.

Draw a little mark of measurement and use your eyeballs and fingers. F-18 rightside up as it's more of a high wing plane.

EDIT: a little F-18 video for ya'll

1/3- F/A-18 Hornet (15 min 1 sec)

2/3- F/A-18 Hornet (15 min 1 sec)

3/3- F/A-18 Hornet (13 min 22 sec)

Anyone use a 2200 6s battery? Just curious what your flight times are. I have some 3s 2200 40c blue lipos i wouldnt mind putting in there once to see how she does on 6s.

Thats gonna have to wait for the cs10 i guess. Bl15 not rates to handle 6s. My L2855 is though

Anyone have any extra screws for mounting a motor in the fan unit? Neither my fan or motor came with em! Thanks dudes

Matters how many amps you're pulling on 6s.

if you're pulling 22 amps you'll get around 6mins of flight if you fly the whole time at 100% WOT.

If you're pulling 44 amps then you'll get 3 mins WOT, rarely do you fly the whole flight at WOT though so a lot of times you can take the avg flight amperage pull by paying attention to how it flys with the pack at full, 3/4 and half throttle and repeating it on the ground.

For any 2200mah pack I usually go a max of 60 amps and sometimes can get 3mins of flight depending on how I treat the go stick

Nice flying as always Walt. Love how you put her down right at your feet.

BTW, how many watts ya reckon the stock fan shroud is good for? Run a little test with the CS rotor in the stock shroud and was pleasantly surprised.

well guys...maiden postponed...rain day. ugh! Did get my pieces from GP yesterday though. Ready to go for it when the rain is done.

Its pretty nose heavy but i am okay with that. I am going to get some extensions for the RX and move it forward and scoot the battery back to compensate...just will take some time as my RC fund are at rock bottom momentarily.
