answer to my previous question (power over lines ?)

Hi everybody !

Here is the answer to my question
"Power over lines ?". You can see a
short description of my first e-C/L
model under
http://home.arcor.de/berentsen/pdf/ecl_b1.pdf
where i use the wires for powering.
a detailed plan will follow in the next days.
Usage of a SPEED 400 motor is also possible, but
don't use it with short lines
Questions and/or discussion is recommend.

Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures and info. Did it do any type of aerobatics? At a weight of less than 5oz i would imagine it might.

I built a plane with about 150sq" and 5-6oz all up weight if i remember right (to lazy to look). I had a geared 280 with a 8 or 9 inch prop. The battery's were on he plane (6-8cells). I flew it with different cell #'s, props, balance points, and line lengths but i never got it to do much more than wingovers. All the flights were indoors by the way.

I have had much better luck with .35 size planes. Maybe because i have more interest in them and have put much more time into them. Either way i love to see what others are doing with electric control line!

The weight was the reason for taking out the battery's. Approx. 6oz is
possible with on board battery and a speed 280 for a 5 minute flight, but it
isn't really funny. I tried a speed 400 in the same plane, and it run's
very, very good, but only 2 minutes. And these new battery's with higher
capacity are to expensive for testing only (for my opinion).
