Fiberglass Pylon Racer From HobbyKing


Hi

i just bought the new pylon from HK

i like some opinion in the setup

i was thinking:

HET 2w-23 ou 2W-25 motor

Hyperions bat 2200~2500 mAh

mabe 4S anda a larger prop ?

ou 5~6S and smal prop ?

what you think guys

I was looking at that one,how does it appear in real life?Is it well made,feel like quality?Hows the battery room in it?Joe

Good luck, it looks nice but most of us gave up trying to make this thing fly properly several years ago.

If it's like the old swallow.... mine have a 4S 3600 (385g), a 3W15 HET more or less 80 g, and an ESC of 70g everything put in the neck of the model to balance well...
Yes i know that i could use a bigger motor...... However the tail of this model it's very very heavy!

Steka, the planes you scratch build will probably fly much better then this one...

A friend has one with a neu 1112/1.5y , when cg ed and proper throws , is rock solid and pretty fast .... Dennis

i got two of these coming too. if its tail heavy mount the motor out side .more room for esc and batt . more cooling . they look simular to the lr1 from extreame composite . poor me i got two of them too . what goes up must come down a good pilot never leave one up there .lol . ill be puting a 4400kv scoprion in her

so i have read on the reviews that a folding prop is not such a good idea on this plane. is this because of the rpm? i am looking at using a 3200kv turnigy inrunner.

3200kv what size folding prop were you thinking? And why would you want a folding prop anyway this is no F5B, the wingloading is MUCh higher than that....

4.7x4.7 or a 5x5, reason for forlding prop is no prop strikes...
