Hey Raz, how is 450 ground school going for you? Are you doing the Radd's thing? Has your sim arrived yet? What are you using for lipos on your 450?

If memory serves, you fly a 450 cp right?
Can you offer any tips etc?
As I understand it, setup has to be done correctly. If setup is off it will be really hard to learn.
And small inputs etc. If you want to go fwd then push and release the stick etc.
Unlike a coax where you hold the position you want.

I had a CPv2 and have a CPx on the way so any advice is welcome.

This is a small question that has a HUGE answer. Yes, I fly a 450 Pro. Tips? Go slowly with this one. Very slowly. Yes, setup has to be dead on. During the build, you may learn to use a digital micrometer. Do your research BEFORE buying this bird. It is completely unlike a co-ax. I would strongly suggest buying the PHOENIX (not Real Flight) flight simulator and spending at least 100 hours with the 450 before buying it. Yes, it is a sensitive bird but it is controllable. You will definitely need training gear at first. I would suggest popping over to the Helifreaks forum and reading the Align 450 threads. I would especially suggest reading the "stickies" done by Finless Bob. For ground school, Google the RADD'S School of Rotary Flight. Read each and every word. Follow each and every word.

It would be a very good idea to invest in a DX7 transmitter.

Ah, the siren call of a new, un-flown bird. Raz, I suspect it still has that new bird smell to it. Even if you have not put it in the air, you can still have fun using the RADD'S ground school. Just remember with RADD'S, you MUST stay in the box. If you leave the box, you MUST punish yourself. RADD'S is GOOD. Also remember that your training gear shafts should be about 27 inches long. Dowel rod works well. I hope you have gone over all of the screws with loctite.

well i am waiting on a new RX so i can spektrumize.

But i am tempted to take it outside and test everything out lol.

its pretty cold here though so lipo will prob hit LVC early
