Looks like Mother Nature is cutting aces this weekend as for as the weather is concerned. I hope to actually get into the air tomorrow. Today of course is the usual "chores and errands" Saturday. Still waiting for my altimeter. Apparently it is hung up at the border as a result of the U.S. Thanksgiving weekend holiday.

Raz, it is getting too quiet around here AGAIN!. Bang some pots and pans. Set off some fireworks. These old grizzly bears around here are starting to hibernate again. Keep this thread ALIVE!

Here is a little something to get the brain cells churning. This story a bit of everything.

Animal rights
Private property rights
Legal permitted activities
R/C aircraft rights

Should be good for getting some discussion going.

Are we going too far????????

First there were helis. Next there were quads. Then came GPS capability. Then there was FPV. Now we have amphibious aircraft with underwater cameras.

Suddenly, this morning EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED!!!

Now we have this

http://edition.cnn.com/2012/11/23/te...tml?hpt=us_mid

As soon as I saw this, I thought about Raz. What would be the implications of an aircraft powered and guided by Raz's thoughts? I remember how worried I was when I found out that Raz had a rocket. I thought at that time perhaps world peace was being held in the balance. Now we have this threat or all threats!

BE AFRAID. BE VERY AFRAID.

You are right Ryan. There have been a series of experiments to attempt to control computers by the power of human thought alone. I remember in the year 2000 there was an experiment at the University of Victoria where they developed an interface that allowed a quadraplegic student to input data to a computer using her brain waves.

What is interesting about this project is that it is using "crowd funding" to finance it. It looks like a lot of people are getting behind this one. If this technology becomes feasible, I can't see it being limited to R/C operations. I suspect there will be a lot bigger "fish to fry".

I did get out to fly for a bit today. It was and still is a typical sunny, cool, damp Fall day. It was almost a bit too cool. I got in a few quad flights to try out some video stuff. Last night I got around to checking out that Spitfire on the sim. That is as far as I have gotten with it.

Sounded like a very large helicopter got teleported to a new dimension. Let's hope it is not a new version of that "Are you unique" thing, was that a disappointment.
