Interesting to see how many PT hulls, etc. survive. Kinda sad to see how few have been or are being restored. I was a bit surprised to see that Higgins survivors outnumber ELCO survivors; somehow didn't expect that.

Jeepers, it may be that the Higgins boats were built a bit more robustly than the ELCOs. I read somewhere that they were designed to be beached for repairs in a pinch, and if you look at the hull lines, they did have a wide, flat keel.
