Both machines are very nice, the Cinestar is a little larger and has less flex than the Droidworx machines. Due to the size of the booms.
The camera mount also works very well, if you were buying a Cinestar, then you should also buy the cinestar mount, it goes hand in hand :-)

Thanks, but unfortunately I have no such ports.

Sony new model HDR-CX760V has amazing stabilization system. As it can be seen on some YT videos this system works very good! New Balanced Optical SteadyShot technology that provides up to thirteen times better stability than the regular Optical SteadyShot, according to Sony. Starting price $1.499.
It may be a very good camera for aerial videos.

Nice and smooth video, Dimitri. Can you tell us a bit more about your post-processing workflow? In particular, I see less pronounced stroboscopic effect in pan shots, and also less warping.

Thanks,
Nick

thanks Nick,
I mostly shot in 50p so that could be a reason for less strobe I suppose. even when converted to 30 or 25fps.
cheers )

filmed with nex5 and hx9, as for platform - it depends, I have several different setups - y6, large octo and also some mid-sized quads.

Panasonic GH2 questions

I am needing a new camera to shoot better stills and 1080p60fps video. I'm considering the Panasonic GH2 even thought it's a bit heavier than I had hoped.
I like the Sony Nex but don't want to pay that much.

Anyway...I have a couple of questions for those who use the GH2.
How do you trip the shutter? Can you just put it into burst mode and hold the shutter down? This is what I do with my Lumix fx35 and it works great.
Also...any issues with live video out while shooting video or stills?

If anyone has any other suggestions on cameras I should consider...I would appreciate it. I would like to stay below $1000. I have just found that most of the options out there don't have live video out during shooting.

Thanks,
Brent

What do you think is better, the Cinestar gimbal or the AV200?

I've seen someone mount a Cinestar gimbal on a Droidworx frame.

Very impressive video! It seems like professional level quality video postings are becoming the norm in this thread.

Which kopterworx system are you running?

They are exactly the same as the AXi 2814/22's except black with a little Droidworx sticker... They run best on 4 cell with 12 inch slow flyers.
