The only problem I have with the current thread is the title. I'd like to see it changed (Arthur would have to do it) to something like "MK discussion - part 2".

Does anyone have feedback as to the performance of the RCTimer BC3536-9 Brushless Motor (Rewound to 770KV) compared to the new MK3538's?

What I'm looking for is recommended prop size (will it spin the same 13x6.5 thin electric APC prop recommended for use with the MK3538).

The MK3538 has 14 poles. The RCTimer motor has 9 (I assume). How does the number of poles affect a motor's performance?

Also, the MK3538 says that it produces 350Watts mechanical power. The RCTimer says that it's max power is 470Watts. What is the likelihood of the actual performance of the RCTimer matching that of the MK3538?

I know I need a 'primer' on motors, just don't know where to look - but I plan on using these motors with my MK electronics, which is why I landed here.

Octo GPS Position Hold "jitters"

When I place the octo in GPS position hold it will hold a position to within 2-3 meters but the copter is very twitchy and has a case of the jitters. I have tried adjusting the GPS P,I,D values with no success. I have tried another navi/gps board and get the same results. Very twitchy movements when in position hold mode.

FC version .80g
Navi version .20

Any ideas?

For all of you in the AP business, Here is a very interesting tool

http://www.teradek.com/cube.html

WiFi range is approximately 300 feet. However, it could be increased by using a high power router and a jaggy antenna.
