18dbi Circular Polarized Patch ?

Hi guys, ive come across this antenna :

The H15 model is really a 12dbi as we use linear vtx antennas, the H18 is really a 15 on a linear vtx.

They would appear to look to me like yagi`s enclosed more than patch antennas

The price though is appealling, 27 degrees beamwidth

Either way, if they are what they clain to be thats double the range possible over a 8dbi CP Patch that we currently use now

Any thoughts ?

It'll be a helical antenna.

Make one for yourself...

I suppose it could be that one.

I wonder what they are really like for FPV purposes ?

Same as a CP patch/panel antenna, but more 'reach' to it and tighter beamwidth, so not as forgiving in where you point it.
When it's 'on target' the received signal strength will be better than the patch given the same circumstance.
With a good tracker/spotter it should be fine, no different than using a long/high gain Yagi - although the helical will be 3db down compared to a similar spec Yagi when polarisation is the same at both ends.
Multipath problems will be improved with the helical over a Yagi.
